These are the latest series you should all really, really check out!

Natsume Yuujinchou (Natsume's Book of Friends) - supernatural, slice-of-life  - 13 episodes/manga is on-going - Second Season is in the making.

Comments:
The main thing about this series is how we see Natsume grow from a closed off person to someone a bit more open.
First, this story resolves around Natsume's ability to see spirits, especially the ones that always haunt him. Then, there's the legacy he has received from his past-away grandmother, Reiko. Which is called Yuujinchou, a collection of spirits' names Reiko had collected in her younger years when she challenged them all.
Tradition says that if a spirit give its name to a human, it is forever bound to said human, serving as his servant. However, Takashi doesn't want that at all and tries to give the names back with a little help of Nyanko-sensei (a fortune/porcelain cat, which is actually one huge fox spirit). Throughout each episode he learns to open up to other people and accept the spirits as part of his life.

Other:
I personally adore the soft feel of the manga and the way each spirit worms into one's heart. They aren't that bad after all...



Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) - supernatural, dark comedy - for now only 1 episode/manga is still on-going - anime has been aired recently

Comments:
This is about the capable butler Sebastian, who works for the Phantomhive family, namely the only heir to the Phantomhive clan, Ciel (a 10-11th? year old), set in the 19th century England. He's not just any butler; he's also a demon, with whom Ciel had formed a contract with. Cleaning, cooking, dressing and so on, Sebastian could do it all.
There's a fair difference between the first episode of the anime and the first chapter of the manga. The significance of the first episode is perhaps a really quick introduction that Sebastian isn't all what he seems, while the first chapter gives us an insight that Ciel, although still young, is a capable toymaker.

Other:
This series remind me a lot of Count Cain. But not exactly, considering how very provocative Count Cain series can be. Kuroshitsuji has a lot of cool moments too, like the four useless servants in the Phantomhive household doing everything wrong or Ciel's dress-up when he tried to capture Jack the Ripper. Either way, this is really a fascinating read.


Toradora (Tiger and Dragon) - comedy, slice-of-life - only 3 episodes/manga still on-going - anime has been recently aired

Comments:
Ryuuji can cook, clean, do everything in the household on his own--the perfect son! Unfortunately, his appearance seems to impact his life a lot more than he needs. Everyone, who doesn't know him properly, thinks he's a gangster, a scary person, a violent person etcetera. Despite his kindness, everyone still shiver around him. The new school year had just begun and suddenly, Ryuuji finds himself head-butting with the school's most fiercesome girl, Taiga. If it doesn't make matters worse, she lives right next-doors and is Ryuuji's crush's best friend.
All is not what it seems...

Other:
This is utterly adorable and hilarious at the same time. The story explains how two scary people aren't that scary at all (despite the repeated violence Taiga is inflicting all around); they just want to be heard and accepted.
